We also have a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant.About the RoleWe are currently hiring an experienced Sales Counter Assistant for our Trade (Timber and Building) department to serve the North Shore community.
You would assist customers to conclude their purchases in the drive-thru and shop floor alike, ensuring all timber products are sold under the correct SKUs and measurements (linear meters).
Your day would include processing transactions (via SmartMate, Cash, eftpos, credit cards, gift vouchers), processing applicable loyalty card programs, providing information on products, and answering questions and queries from customers.
You would also support the great Trade Sales and Timber and Building store team.About YouYou would have an affinity for providing an excellent customer service experience.You would be an experienced trade-specific retail assistant or a student studying construction, quantity surveying, or architecture, or a checkout operator with a high level of numeracy (Year 13 calculus preferred but not essential).You would hold a valid, full, clean Class 1 driver's license as you could move or park delivery vehicles and pool cars if and when required.You would be comfortable picking up new technology.You would have an awareness and understanding of health and safety.You would be a local North Shore resident, preferably within the Albany basin.About the JobCompetitive hourly rate above minimum wage (level of experience and/or skill dependent) and range of employee benefits; On-site role located in Albany; Permanent, full-time opportunity in the Timber and Building (aka Trade) department.
40 hours per week.
