This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role located in Warkworth. Please state your availability (and roster pattern match) in your cover letter, as the days below are not open to change: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (10:30-19:00) and Friday and Saturday (06:30-15:00)About the roleWe are currently hiring an experienced Sales Counter Assistant for our Trade (Timber and Building) department to serve the Warkworth community. You will assist customers in concluding their purchases in the drive-thru and shop floor alike, ensuring all timber products are sold under the correct SKUs and measurements (linear meters). Your day will include processing transactions (via SmartMate, cash, EFTPOS, credit cards, gift vouchers etc.), processing applicable loyalty card programs, providing product information, and answering questions from customers. You will also support the Trade Sales and Timber and Building store team.What will you bring?You could be a trade-specific retail assistant, or you may be a student studying construction, quantity surveying, or architecture, or a checkout operator with a high level of numeracy (Year 13 calculus preferred).A valid, full, clean Class 1 driver's license, as you may need to move or park delivery vehicles and pool cars if required.Comfort with picking up new technology.An affinity for providing an excellent customer service experience.Awareness and understanding of health and safety practices.Availability for the above roster pattern.You would be a local Warkworth resident likely residing in one of the following areas: Ara Hills, Hatfields Beach, Kaipara Flats, Leigh, Mahurangi East, Mahurangi West, Makarau, Matakana, Omaha, Pakiri, Point Wells, Sandspit, Snells Beach, Ti Point, Whangateau, and Whangaripo.Apply nowReady to build your future with us?
