Downer provide enhanced and extended scope of works and implement new processes to ensure that all facilitates are well managed and maintained. We are currently seeking a Facilities Trade Assistant to join our team at the Department of Corrections in Rimutaka Prison.A bit about the roleThis is a hands-on role which will be based predominantly on the field and responsible for on-site installation. Duties include but not limited to.Provide practical support to skilled tradespeople in carrying out maintenance, repairs, and project work.Ensuring the sites and equipment are well maintained and cleaned at all times.Performing manual tasks as required and operating machinery and power toolsEscorting of sub-contractors, visitors, client, or any other authorised/ approved persons(s) as required.Nga pukenga matua | Important SkillsWe're looking for someone who is passionate about going the extra mile! You are motivated and ready for the opportunity to take on maintenance work to achieve a high standard performance.
