Trade Assistant

J P ELECTRICAL & SERVICES LIMITED is looking for Trade Assistants who will be responsible for assisting electricians with various tasks related to electrical repairs and maintenance.
The main place of work will be Auckland, and travel within the greater Auckland region may be required.
Responsibilities: Assist electricians in installing electrical systems and equipment.
Assist with the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
Use different types of tools, including hand and power tools, to perform various electrical tasks.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Replace power meter modems and conduct site visits.
Check faults in modems and assist electricians accordingly.
Help with store work and assist in other management activities and general labor.
Work on asbestos after adequate training on the job.
Assist in lifting materials and loading/unloading supplies.
Assist during repairs and breakdowns.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and will be paid between $26 to $30 per hour.
Other Important Requirements: Related skills and knowledge are highly preferred.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Availability to work on weekends.
Valid Driver's License.
