We have a job now for a Tractor & Truck driver based in North Otago area, 20 mins outside of Oamaru. You'll hold a Class 4-5 driver license with truck/trailer experience. The preferred candidate will also have experience operating loader wagons, mowers, balers, and (or) stack vehicles.
Tractor/Truck Driver (Oamaru) 3194BH We have a job now for a Tractor & Truck driver based in North Otago area, 20 mins outside of Oamaru. You'll hold a Class 4-5 driver license with truck/trailer experience. The preferred candidate will also have experience operating loader wagons, mowers, balers, and (or) stack vehicles.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Tractor & Implement operation incl. Cultivation, and Drilling work
Mowing, tedding, raking, baling, wrapping, stacking and carting
Maize harvesting
Ground cultivation experience
Truck driving as required on the open road carting bales and silage
Maintaining machinery to be clean and operational and other general duties
Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and an average of 50-60. The work is primarily at one location; however, you may need to travel up to 1 hour for offsite contracting assignments. There may be flexibility in employer type and hours if preferred candidate desires.
Wage is between $27-$35 per hour subject to experience.
Candidates will ideally have previous machine operating experience and are required to provide good related references.
To be considered you must:
Provide a CV which is current, correct and complete or alternative evidence of work (the employer will not consider you without this as it serves as proof of work and professionalism)
Ideally have experience operating Fendt, John Deere, New Holland and Massey Ferguson Tractors
Be a solid worker and with good character (where possible, we will do a criminal check)
Be physically fit
Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Must hold a clean NZ or NZ equivalent Class 4 or 5 Heavy Traffic Licence , as you'll need to go on public roads driving machinery.
Have previous experience working on a farm and or have some form of either an agricultural or mechanical qualification
Need your own vehicle
Shared onsite accommodation available with rent deducted. Rent includes power & rubbish collection. Alternatively, this can be a drive in position depending on proximity to the job.
