Our school is seeking a fluent speaker of the Tongan language to continue the growth of our bilingual programme and offer Lea Faka-Tonga to our students.
If you are motivated and committed to growing the cultural capital of our students, then this position is for you.
An ability to teach junior and senior classes is required. An understanding of the NCEA standards is preferred.
Preparing students for participation in Polyfest is a key responsibility, and a willingness to work in collaborative teams is expected, as is an affinity for teaching boys. Innovation, curiosity, and a genuine desire to support our students in bringing their strengths as Tongans to the school are desirable.
Be instrumental in growing Lea Faka-Tonga at Kelston Boys' High School.
An untrained teacher will be considered; however, they must have experience in teaching the Tongan language.
