Timber Treatment Operator (Experienced or Trainee position) Location: Ruakaka, Northland The North Sawn Group is a progressive company group involved in the timber processing industry.
A position has become available at our Ruakaka, Northland site.
North Sawn Group specializes in timber preservation, logistics, treatment, and manufacture of engineered wood products for the New Zealand and export markets.
We are looking for an experienced Timber Treatment Operator, or someone with the motivation and skills to be a trainee.
You will join a long-established business and team and work to ensure efficient production flows through the LOSP and CCA plant, while meeting maintenance requirements and industry compliance standards.
This is a full-time, permanent position.

Working Monday to Friday dayshifts (from time to time, some weekend work may be required).
Main Duties: Responsible for the preparation, pre-treatment checking, treating, and post-treatment checks in a high-volume, production-oriented environment.
Ensure compliance with industry and quality standards.

Good attention to detail and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with management and follow instructions.
Good computer and paperwork skills for accurate data recording.
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.

Carry out internal audits and checks.
Knowledge and respect of Health & Safety obligations in the workplace.
Preferred Certifications: Certified Handlers certification.
Practical experience operating CCA and/or LOSP treatment plants.
Forklift certificate: Practical experience operating 5, 7 & 12 tonne forklifts is preferable.
First Aid Certificate.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-screening health, drug, and alcohol test.
Training will be provided for the role.
