Timber MachinistsWe are seeking a Timber Machinist to join our production team. The role will require you to assist with the production of remanufactured timber products by setting, operating, and maintaining planers, band saws, and other machinery.The primary objective of the role is to guarantee that the output of remanufactured product is achieved safely and in accordance with product specifications. This is achieved through efficient cutting, gauging, and shaping of timber.Responsibilities:Operate planer and feed works to process kiln dried timber using technology devicesBe able to read drawings/cutting listsGrind and set up planer headsMonitor the performance of general timber handsWe are looking for candidates who:Have relevant experience or a relevant qualification, minimum Level 3, and 2 years' experience in the sawmill industryAre resilient, self-motivated with a 'can do' attitudeHave good knowledge of health and safety in the workplace, particularly in the wood processing plantAre physically fit - manual handling will be required and be able to push/pull 25kg, also working in all conditions, standing for long periodsHave great communication skillsShow great mechanical aptitudeDisplay leadership qualities and the ability to train othersHave excellent attention to detailIn return, we can offer a fantastic work culture, ongoing training & development, and career progression opportunities.If you are seeking employment within a progressive company, apply today: www.alignzrecruitment.co.nz/vacancies or email: ******
