Ticketed Scaffolder With Class 2

Scaffold Direct is a Wellington based scaffold company providing scaffolding and edge protection to the Greater Wellington region.
We are looking for highly motivated staff who are dedicated to contributing to a great team environment. This is a full-time permanent position based in Lower Hutt, with a minimum of 30 hours per week and an 8 a.m. start. The starting rate will range from $30 to $35 per hour, depending on skills and qualifications.
Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related tasks, including:
Erect and dismantle scaffold: Erect and dismantle scaffold at set jobs
Follow directions of team leader on site to safely erect/dismantle jobs
Work within reasonable timeframes to complete jobs

Driving trucks: Safely drive truck to and from sites daily
Ensure nil loss of license
Communicate any fines occurred for trucks – take responsibility for certain fines as per IEA
Fill trucks with fuel as required

Unload/reload of trucks: As per the jobs assigned, unload/reload truck each day
Ensure scaffold is safely secured
Ask management for directions as needed

General Warehouse/Yard work: Follow directions for reasonable tasks to be done around the yard/warehouse from management
Use initiative to ensure warehouse and yard are kept in a tidy manner
Ask management for directions as needed

Health & Safety: Ensure driving and truck load complies with NZ laws
Ensure PPE is always worn on all jobs
Communicate to the administration manager when PPE is needed
Communicate promptly to management when a problem with the truck is identified

Minimum Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have:
At least one year of proven experience in scaffolding role with scaffolding ticket.
Valid Class 2 truck license.
Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
You must be able to listen to instructions from management, be willing to engage in open communication and follow directions as required.
Great time management & work well with a team.
Comply with H & S requirements.
Pre-employed drug test and police check is required.
