Undertake 3 Waters Infrastructure construction project for private clients.
Specialise in a given area or areas with ability to support other specialist areas when/where needed.
A. WDC Maintenance - Reticulation systems The contract specifications will be the main source for any activities undertaking and as directed by the client.
Inspections, repairs and reporting are essential activities required by the contract.
Specialist Areas include: 1.
Potable Water Undertake water sampling as per plan and as per protocols.
Fire Hydrant testing and reticulation maintenance Commercial and Household water meter readings Toby repairs Breaks and leaks 2.
Wastewater Undertake water sampling as per plan and as per protocols.
Chemical (Lime etc) handling, cartage and storage Manhole and reticulation maintenance Wet well checks/cleaning and maintenance 3.
Stormwater Wet well checks/cleaning and maintenance Manhole and reticulation maintenance Sump cleaning and checks.

Water Treatment Plants Chemical (Chlorine gas) handling, cartage and storage Remote checks when off-site Chlorine gas changeover at Blue-Spur as per protocols Checks as per plan Dosing of ponds Chemical (Lime etc) handling, cartage and storage B.
Construction Projects This Includes predominantly private work such as property connections and ducting installations.
This will cover single or several specialist areas.
Tasks would typically cover: Manhole and sump installations Pipe and fittings installations Dewatering C. Generic Undertake any further studies where required.
Follow response protocols as per contract specification.
On call rostering is inherent to fulfil this role Travelling is inherent to fulfil this role.
Record timesheets daily and accurately.
Undertake site maintenance including weed control.
Follow Emergency Management Plans and undertake frequent drills.
D. Reporting Report all emergencies issues immediately.
Report all reticulation faults to line manager without delay.
Report on all calibration / verification needs.
Report daily on samples taken, council assets and completed Service Requests E. Health and Safety Specifically Comply with all Accident & Incident reporting protocols.
Apply chemical handling measures.
Apply with all asbestos protocols.
Follow all confined space measures.
Apply Traffic Management protocols.
Attend all H&S briefs.
Manage housekeeping of all sites Maintain all your competencies and professional registrations to ensure they are up to date.
Desired Skills and Experience MUST HAVES & NICE TO HAVES: NZ Certificate Level 4 or above in Infrastructure Works, Drinking Water Treatment, or Wastewater Treatment Experience in dealing with hazardous chemicals A safety-first attitude Class 2 driver licence or above Able to work on-call and after hours to handle emergency works #J-18808-Ljbffr
