You'll have the ability to lead, strategize, and influence in order to deliver the long-term plan. See the bigger picture, lead the change, and work towards better outcomes for the district. This is a full-time permanent position with a starting salary of $120,000 to $160,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience. Key Responsibilities Oversee the management and delivery of Council's 3-waters activity Actively manage and oversee contracts, project delivery, budgets, and expenditure Be an active member of the Infrastructure Group leadership team Continuously develop and enhance relationships with local Iwi Chair public meetings and deliver for the community Benefits Highly competitive remuneration Ongoing investment in professional development Work with a team of dedicated and respected experts Family-friendly working environment Skills & Experience Degree qualification in Civil Engineering (Water) Understanding of local government and New Zealand's 3 waters sector Considerable experience in water, wastewater & stormwater service delivery Able to lead technical delivery and manage project teams and consultants Effective communicator with the ability to influence and work in a political environment About Tararua District Council The Tararua district is the 3rd largest district in New Zealand.
