Hours per Week : Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week
Pay Rate : $29.66 - $32.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Days Required : Weekdays, weekends, and public holidays required
Job Description :
We are seeking three experienced and passionate chefs to join our dynamic culinary team in Christchurch.
As a chef with us, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring a seamless, efficient kitchen operation in collaboration with team members.
Key Responsibilities :
Procure and prepare fresh meat, poultry, fish, and other essential ingredients Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients for a variety of dishes Prepare sauces and ensure consistency in taste and presentation Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are well-maintained for optimal performance Strictly adhere to hygiene and food safety protocols Collaborate with fellow chefs on new dish creation and menu development Promote a harmonious and efficient working environment in the kitchen Qualifications & Skills :
Three years or more relevant work experience and/or a certificate or qualification in culinary arts Experience in Asian fusion dishes is a plus (e.g. Japanese, Korean) Track record of performing well in a busy kitchen Sound understanding and experience with kitchen equipment, utensils, and procedures Strong attention to detail and creativity in the kitchen Excellent communication and teamwork skills Food safety certification is a plus How to Apply : Interested candidates should apply with their up-to-date CV and a cover letter detailing their experience and passion for the culinary arts.
