The Role: This role will see you working with whaiora and their whanau who have experienced sexual harm, offering tailored support through ACC Sensitive Claims therapy. Your primary focus will be to provide compassionate, warm, and culturally sensitive therapy tailored to the needs of the whaiora.
We are seeking qualified and ACC registered psychologists, psychotherapists, and counsellors to join our dedicated ACC Sensitive Claims therapy team (service provider team).
You will be based at one or more of our locations in Auckland and have the option to provide telehealth. There is the potential to train in and deliver evidence-based groups through our services.
Please note: You will only be considered if you currently hold ACC registration to provide Sensitive Claims Services. We are currently unable to onboard new service providers until February 2025. This position is offered as an employee role within our team (not as a contractor).
You Will Have: ACC registration enabling you to support whaiora with an ACC Sensitive Claim
A post-graduate qualification enabling you to work therapeutically with clients
Registration with a registering body under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA) and/or full membership with a Professional Association for your profession
Passion for the ACC Sensitive Claims Service
Availability to work a minimum of 04.FTE (16 hours)

Working with a diverse multi-disciplinary team supported by a consultant psychiatrist, psychologists and therapists, health improvement practitioners, health coaches, group facilitators and administrative members
Supervision and mentoring support with professional development opportunities
In-house professional development focused on enhancing cultural safety and equity
Regular MDT peer reviews and trainings
Ability to be innovative and contribute to the development and growth of this service

Who Are We? Tamaki Health's "Wellness Support Team (WST)" was established in 2012 and is led by pioneering primary mental health psychiatrist Dr David Codyre. Recognised with the Best Mental Health Programme award at the 2021 New Zealand Primary Healthcare Awards, the WST delivers holistic care for people of all ages and whanau.
The Wellness Support Team supports Tamaki Health's General Practice teams to better meet patient wellbeing needs via a multi-faceted programme, including providing evidence-based psychological interventions integrated within primary care. From individual to group interventions, the diverse multidisciplinary team - including psychologists, therapists, Health Improvement Practitioners, Health Coaches, GPs with advanced training in mental health, administrative support, and group facilitators – provides a rich suite of services in GP clinics and the community.
