pro-rata + Kiwisaver + Car parking Competitive salary + paid overtime + car parking Fixed term positions available Flexible FTE 1.0FTE or 0.6FTE Mo te turanga | About the role As a Theatre Suite Assistant you will be involved in: Supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team Patient handling and transfers Transporting specimens and blood Cleaning of department and communal facilities daily Restocking and setting up of equipment Answering phones, and much more!
Your contribution to the team will ensure that operations run to schedule and are well prepared so that our surgeons and clinical staff are able to perform their magic.
The Theatre Suite Assistants are on rostered shifts Monday through Sunday with an additional on-call component.
We have two fixed term positions available - either full-time (1FTE) or part-time (0.6FTE).

Becoming a Theatre Suite assistant in the health sector is a great opportunity to: Use your caring and empathetic nature in your work Receive on the job training and support Gain a NZQA Level 2 or Level 3 certificate (Health and Wellbeing for Hospitals and Health Sector) Fees are fully funded This is a physically demanding role, e.g.
relocating beds/manual handling of patients, and as the role title implies, you'll spend a portion of your time in the operating theatre.
It is therefore imperative that you have a reasonable level of mobility and fitness.
The team is supportive and friendly, and the opportunity to gain great job satisfaction is huge if you enjoy working at a fast pace and under pressure.
We are seeking applications from those with previous health care experience, and from those who are dynamic, friendly and can demonstrate a high level of initiative.
You will be committed to high standards of practice, be well organised and have excellent communication skills including computer literacy.
It is important that candidates are motivated, flexible, have a level of maturity about them and of course plenty of enthusiasm.
Experience working with people in a caring capacity is also essential, whether than experience is gained from within a professional environment, or from caring for children or family members.

Utu whanui | Salary range This role belongs to the Health New Zealand/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($60,100 p.a.
pro-rata) and Step 5 ($70,358 p.a.
