We are looking for a motel manager or motel manager assistant or motel receptionist who at least has 6 months motel management experience.
Your role will be responsible for helping to manage all aspects of the motel, including:
-Reception duties, greeting and registering guests, providing local tourism information;
-Reservation management, including foreseeing and controlling of the occupancy;
-Collaborating with travel agents and dealing with group bookings;
-Ensuring room allocations and maximizing bookings;
-Overseeing and organizing the cleanliness of motel, including managing and helping the room service and housekeeping activities;
-Laundry management and washing help, including guest laundry;
-Cooperating with suppliers and inspecting inventory;
-Property maintenance, including gardens & lawns, equipment and renovations;
-Managing accounts and implementing measures to reduce cost; sales and costs report to the motel owner;
-Evaluating and reviewing customer feedback, dealing with customer complaints and comments;
-Ensuring compliance with health and safety rules and regulations.
Finance:
· Managing the admin/financial billing for guest tours and 3rd party invoicing & credit control
· Banking - responsible for reconciling payments and recording transactions of charges daily
· Staff hours – monitor rosters to reflect the needs of the business – wages costs reviews/revenue reports & review with input from Payroll
Other Duties:
· Reviews – to constantly focus on ensuring that guests log positive reviews on Booking.com or 3rd party providers' websites – where there are issues, respond accordingly within 24 hours
· Share review feedback and grading with the motel owner. Take action regarding any comments/feedback & share relevant information to the motel owner/staff, as relevant
Requirements: - At least has 6 months motel management experience; - Relevant Tertiary Qualification; -Proficiency in using computer and hospitality reservation software;
-Ability in multitasking and a can-do attitude;
-May work on weekends and public holidays;
-Ability to work under pressure and think out of the square; - Have Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal;
- May need to live in the motel, manage and stay at the motel overnight;
- At least 3 years customer service experience
-At least 3 years management experience
- English Level at least IELTS 6.5
-NZ citizen or resident is preferred;
