About the Role: We are searching for a fabric-loving retail star to join us in the full-time role of Store Manager in our fabric store, located at The Tannery.
As a Store Manager, you'll be an experienced Leader who is both pro-active in achieving sales targets and passionate about providing a high level of customer service at all times.
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll inspire your team to achieve exceptional results and create unique and memorable in-store experiences for our customers.
Celebrating and recognising others, operational excellence, visual merchandising and product expertise will all come naturally to you.
Ideally you will have: A passion about fashion, home sewing and sustainable textiles, and can genuinely appreciate the value in spreading the core messages of the brand to better people's skillset and wellbeingA connection to textiles beyond just selling a productA strong understanding of store and business KPI expectations & driving potential sales opportunitiesImpressive time-management and organisational skillsConfidence to work alongside the general Manager and other HO team members to motivate, inspire and lead your local team.A creative energy and excitement to motivate your team on shared goals and values In this role you will: Think strategically to identify missed opportunitiesEnsure employees are aligned with store and business expectationsEnsure employees are customer service ambassadors at all timesCreate a positive environment with employees & customers in store whenever possible with your amazing interpersonal skillsBe managing the recruitment and training of all new and existing team membersEnsure that our visual merchandising directives and standards are being kept are in line with weekly communicationsComplete rosters and ensure they are costed within hours budget.
About The Fabric Store: The Fabric Store is a boutique fabric retailer, which specializes in contemporary designer dress fabrics and textiles, with a strong focus on natural fibres.
Our brand began in New Zealand, and now has stores throughout New Zealand and Australia, as well as an international online store.
Fabrics are sourced from both local and international designers and include silks, linens, wool suiting & coatings, satins, cottons and specialty pieces such as merino jersey, leather hides and Liberty of London prints.
