We are looking for a Thai restaurant duty manager to join our team.
Requirements At least 1 year of work experience at the management level in any industry, including as an assistant manager At least a related NZ Register Diploma Level 5 qualification (this can be management in any field) may substitute for the experience Must have a Licence Controller Qualification approved by NZQA Must have work experience in the customer service field Must have knowledge of Thai food ingredients as we take food allergies seriously Job Descriptions Collaborating with chefs to create diverse and appealing menus.
Planning and overseeing special events and functions.
Managing and coordinating the daily operations of both the front and back of the restaurant.
Overseeing the purchasing process, including negotiating prices and adhering to budget constraints.
Keeping accurate records of inventory levels and financial transactions.
Managing operational expenses and finding ways to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
Anticipating future requirements for supplies, kitchen equipment, and cleaning materials.
Consistently evaluating product quality and exploring new supplier options.
Ensuring that the dining areas meet health standards, remain clean, functional, and presentable.
Providing exceptional service and striving to enhance customer satisfaction with both meals and service.
Addressing customer complaints promptly and effectively.
Recruiting, training, and overseeing the performance of the waitstaff and kitchen team.
Organizing and supervising work shifts for the waiting and kitchen staff.
Promoting the restaurant within the local community to attract more customers.
Enforcing policies and procedures to ensure smooth and consistent restaurant operations in the future.
Occasionally handling reservations, greeting customers, and taking orders when needed.
Other Details This is a full-time and permanent position Wage payment is $29.66 per hour, and you will be paid weekly Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law You will be working at 257 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland We are open from Wednesday to Sunday: Lunch 11.30 am – 3.00 pm and Dinner from 5 pm – 8.30 pm.
You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours) Please note that applicants for this position should have NZ citizenship/residency or a valid NZ work visa.
