Thai Chefs wanted for a Thai Restaurant. A Twizel – based Thai restaurant has three position s of full-time Thai Chefs available.
Requirements Minimum of 3 years of related work experience OR A minimum of NZ Register Level 4 qualification, which may substitute for experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand AND Knowledge of Thai food ingredients Job Descriptions Create balanced and innovative menus using seasonal ingredients while considering dietary restrictions and budget constraints. Review labor and food costs, organizing menus to stay within budget Ensure adequate stock levels and place orders for supplies Collaborate with management on plans for special events Handle equipment purchases and repairs as needed Inspect all ingredients and supplies to ensure they meet quality standards Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on procedures Consult with management to address issues and assist in developing solutions Ensure consistent food presentation Prepare and cook food according to specifications Maintain high standards of food hygiene compliance Accurately measure ingredients and portion sizes Manage deliveries while ensuring adherence to food hygiene standards Other detail This is a full-time and permanent position Wage payment is $29.66 per hour and you will be paid weekly Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law You will be working at 1B Market Place, Twizel We are open from Monday to Sunday, Lunch 11.00 am - 2.30 pm, Dinner 4.30 pm – 8.30 pm. You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours). Please note that applicants for this position should have NZ citizenship/residency or a valid NZ work visa.
