Details of the offer

We are looking for two Thai Chefs to join our team.
Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience OR
A minimum of NZ Register Level 4 qualification, which may substitute for experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealandqualification) OR
The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from ThailandAND
Knowledge of Thai food ingredients

Job Descriptions

Plan and update the menu in consultation with other kitchen staff and management.
Prepare, freeze, preserve and cook foods.
Food quality control.
Estimating food costs, including ingredients, seasoning, labour and other necessary costs involving the kitchen operation.
Recommend food prices.
Monitor food waste.
Stock check and order.
Work with the management to hire kitchen staff, including cooks and other kitchen workers.
Schedule kitchen staff's roster, and conduct staff training by demonstrating cooking techniques and procedures and advising other kitchen staff of these techniques.
Develop and maintain a positive team environment in the kitchen.
Monitor food hygiene regulations within the kitchen.
Ensure that cleanliness standards are consistently adhered to and cleaning rosters are followed.
Direct and coordinate food preparation.
Modify work procedures or processes to meet deadlines
Inspect facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance and advise management of any repairs or maintenance work required.
Other duties instructed by the Director from time to time as necessary to maintain the sustainability of the business.

This is a full-time and permanent position
Wage payment is $29.66 per hour, and you will be paid weekly
Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
You will be working at 4 Todd Plaza, New Lynn, Auckland
We are open for Lunch: Monday to Sunday 12 pm – 3 pm, and Dinner: Monday to Sunday 4.30 pm – 9.00 pm. You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
