We are looking for two Thai Chefs to join our team.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience OR
A minimum of NZ Register Level 4 qualification, which may substitute for experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR
The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand AND
Knowledge of Thai food ingredients
Job Descriptions:
Create and prepare high-quality meals and dishes
Plan menus while managing budget and meal costs
Ensure food budget is adhered to and minimize waste
Inspect all ingredients for quality assurance
Maintain the highest standards of food quality and taste
Manage inventory and place orders for supplies
Ensure all kitchen equipment is well-maintained
Prepare and cook food according to the menu
Demonstrate Thai cooking techniques and advise on procedures
Prepare ingredients, including vegetables and sauces
Portion food and arrange it on plates
Store food in temperature-controlled environments
Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary needs
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen facilities and dishes, ensuring compliance with health regulations
Supervise and train kitchen staff as needed
This is a full-time and permanent position
Wage payment is $29.66 per hour , and you will be paid weekly
Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
You will be working at 51 Commercial Street, Takaka
We are open from Tuesday to Sunday, Lunch 11.30 am – 2.30 pm, Dinner 5.00 pm – 8.30 pm
You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours).
