Exciting opportunity for a skilled Test Engineering Manager to join our next-generation utilities billing software division in Auckland. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will oversee a team of test engineers in New Zealand and Vietnam, taking charge of quality processes for Hansen CIS solutions in the global energy sector. Utilise your expertise and innovation to enhance automation, efficiency, and compliance with Hansen's corporate standards, focusing on improving the quality of our software and services, especially within a Cloud-based SaaS model. About You Proven experience as a Test Manager in a commercial IT environment, with a track record of providing effective HR management for test engineering teams. Strong expertise with modern QA tools and applications, including test automation frameworks and AI tools to enhance productivity and quality. You will also have:
Demonstrated ability to recommend tools and process improvements through detailed business cases (including effort estimation, milestones, outcomes, and ROI). Familiarity with the Agile SDLC process. A commitment to leading and developing offshore staff. The ability to travel internationally for up to 2 weeks, 1-2 times per year. Key Responsibilities Manage a team of 12 test engineers (4 in NZ, 8 in Vietnam), including hiring, performance reviews, and HR responsibilities. Provide detailed weekly reports to the Senior Product Manager on quality levels, test coverage, and team metrics in an Agile environment. Develop business cases with ROI for QA improvements, including new tools, AI technology, and process enhancements. Apply project management practices to implement approved QA improvements, including budget and progress management. Conduct remote presentations and onsite workshops, with 1-2 international trips per year for client engagements or development center visits. Collaborate with Service Delivery and Project Managers to resolve issues, manage change, and enhance test engineer skills, supporting Cloud-based SaaS projects.
