We are focused on becoming the most successful, sustainable and responsible liquor retailer in New Zealand through delivering New Zealand's best retail liquor experience – we are great at what we do but there is so much more to achieve!We have created a new opportunity within our IT team to ensure our customers and franchisees have a great experience using our technology and systems.Shall we tell you a little bit more?With the customer at the forefront of what we do, you will be an integral part of our small IT team, responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining test frameworks and scripts. Performing, defining and automating manual tests will be an opportunity to explore.We deliver best in class applications to drive our business forward - this role is essential to ensure that our customers have the right products in the right quantities, at the right time, to ensure that customers have a smooth all round shopping experience, and to ensure that our solutions are functioning correctly.Your responsibilities will include:Working with key stakeholders to identify and define the required test requirements, test environments and test scope, taking into consideration integration with different back-end systems/services (Web, API etc).Working in both browser-based applications (ecommerce platform) and on-premise applications (Point of Sale).Understanding complex business processes in tight timeframes in order to identify and gather the test data/requirements.Determining expected test results and documenting them in test cases / automating where appropriate.Developing/maintaining a library of testing scripts (including Automation scripts) and procedures in a way that they can be reused as efficiently as possible.Working on updating/improving existing Automation test suite, ensuring it's updated to reflect current business requirements.What do we need from you?You will be enthusiastic and passionate about our customers, as well as keen to learn, develop and further your career and knowledge in IT/Testing. Along with having excellent communication skills, you will also have:A minimum of 2 years testing experience on complex projects.Sound knowledge of the software testing lifecycle, methodologies and techniques.Experience within store / retail industry testing, web front end, system integration, CMS and end to end testing.Natural ability to think creatively and innovatively, be a doer, capable of speedily delivering high volumes of quality work.A preference for working flexibly and ability to change priorities.We look for people to join our team who demonstrate a collaborative working style yet can stand on their own two feet, are always curious and constantly looking at what is next!Why work for us?Our offices are newly built custom design spaces – with access to an in-house supermarket, a well-priced in-house café, and a bountiful supply of free car parking.
