Territory Sales Manager

My client is a New Zealand-owned and operated business with over 4 decades of success supplying to the DIY, plumbing and electrical industries. They have an excellent reputation as a result of quality products, excellent service and a deep understanding of the markets they operate in.We are looking to appoint a Territory Sales Manager to drive sales and growth of their products in Auckland, Hamilton, Bay of Plenty, Coromandel and upper North Island regions. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will run your territory autonomously, with an effective call cycle, building your network of merchants and end-users.About the role:You will effectively manage your own call cycle to nurture retailer and merchant relationships, while also driving demand with end users – becoming a trusted partner to both.You will be the key point of contact for your region.Find and secure new business through end-users, successfully growing the company footprint in the upper North Island.Become knowledgeable and confident with a range of modern, architecturally designed products.About you:You're an experienced Territory Manager within the building products industry - ideally with an extensive network of plumbers.You have a proven sales record and the confidence to hunt and secure new business.You enjoy being on the road, at times visiting multiple locations in a day.Experience in selling front-of-wall plumbing products would be beneficial but is not a deal breaker.Overnights will be required, approximately 3 per month, so please ensure this is something you're able to manage.Benefits:On offer is a competitive package including an attractive salary, quarterly bonus structure and full-use company vehicle.
