We have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager to join our Structural Heart division. This role is based in either Auckland, Waikato, Wellington, or Christchurch and will cover the New Zealand territory.
The role is responsible for clinical and sales support for our Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVI) technology along with the Cardiac Surgery portfolio. The main aspects of this role include:
Assist customers and other clinical stakeholders with case planning, including assessing patient suitability.
Provide clinical case coverage.
Interact with customers and other clinical stakeholders for any post-case discussion and evaluation.
Provide education with various stakeholders.
Manage sales pipeline and actively hunt for new business.
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and physicians within the account (i.e., Interventionalist, Cardiologists, CV Surgeon, Valve Coordinator, Nurse Unit Manager, General Cardiologist) to generate awareness and referrals.
Assist in conducting customer training workshops (including echo workshops) ranging from onboarding training activities to continuous education to maintaining and increasing physician skill levels.
Support local and national conferences/programs.
This role may require some on-call and after-hours responsibilities, and some rural, interstate, and possibly international travel may be required to fulfill your duties and training requirements.
What you will bring to this role:
Tertiary qualifications in biomedical/engineering/medical science/human movement or related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) is essential.
Experience in an identical role within TAVI is highly advantageous; however, solid territory management (sales) experience in medical devices, pharma, or healthcare-related field will be considered.
Cath lab experience within the hospital network is advantageous.
Good understanding of the industry process and function; able to convincingly discuss this with customers, as well as internal and external experts.
Patient-centric, customer-focused, and empathetic.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to translate clinical detail into relatable information.
Business acumen and analytical skills.
Proactive, resilient self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced innovative environment.
Flexibility for some regional travel is required, with the need to travel on occasion.
