About the Role
As a Territory Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving sales and maximising the wholesale margin of our exclusive flooring products within our extensive distribution network. You will play a critical role in supporting our company-owned and franchise stores by ensuring that our products are well represented, both in terms of sales and in-store merchandising. Your ability to build strong relationships, provide top-tier customer service, and deliver effective product training will be key to your success in this role. This role covers the South Island and Wellington region; regular travel is required.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
Sales & Margin Maximisation: Achieve and exceed sales and margin targets for our exclusive product range across the Central Warehouse and store network.
Customer Support: Deliver outstanding, customer-focused service to all stores, becoming the first point of contact for technical and sales inquiries related to our products.
In-Store Merchandising: Ensure all stores have up-to-date and well-positioned point-of-sale materials and product displays.
Product Training: Provide comprehensive training to staff and managers on product features, benefits, installation, warranties, and sales techniques.
Relationship Management: Liaise with interior designers, group builders, and specifiers to advocate for our products, and regularly update store staff on key sales and product information.
Problem Solving: Conduct consumer complaint inspections and assist with product-specific sales strategies, including the focused sale of aged stock.
You Will Have
Previous successful sales history and sales experience is required.
Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-centric approach.
Knowledge of flooring products is desirable.
A clean, unrestricted Class 1 New Zealand Driver's License.
