Building and maintaining a great relationship with the customers is key to success in ensuring compliance as well as driving extra discretionary opportunities. Whilst always promoting, developing and improving the Health and Safety culture.Location: Whangarei, Territory - NorthlandResponsibilitiesAs a Territory Manager - Grocery, you will be responsible to:SalesPlan to achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets by maximising current customer opportunities, upcoming promotions, trading terms agreements, and new product activations.Sell in-store activity to appropriately support Promotional Plans and influence the order to ensure effective and efficient stock management at store level.Identify gaps and opportunities and present through store reviews in conjunction with your Sales Supervisor to key store decision makers using appropriate store data and category facts.Execute all compliance with customers and focus on driving extra discretionary activity to drive further sales.Operations efficiencySpend to co-op target while managing ROIEnsure all internal and external sales, pricing and administration procedures are strictly adhered to as per company policyPromote, develop and improve the Sales Health and Safety culture including Test Drive under the Target Zero banner to achieve business safety metrics.Take accountability for the maintenance of your vehicle and company equipment.Ensure effective management of third party merchandising resource.Effectively manage your journey plan to maximise call compliance (by establishing set meeting times with in-store buyers where possible) and effectiveness to drive sales growth.Appropriate use and maintenance of tools of trade e.g. Vehicle, Phone, Uniform, Laptop, iPad & Sales information.Provide coverage across other territories as and when required.Use PepsiCo's Steps of the call (Winning with Customer) guidelines & complete weekly/monthly tasks & surveys as required.Actively maintain & action all store invoicing, claims and statements.Customer RelationshipsKeep the customer informed of product performance, consumer and industry updates, and opportunities to increase profits and sales in our categories.Build rapport with customers at all levels (store owner, store manager, buyer) throughout the store to enhance service and create selling opportunities.As a key contact with our customers, adhere to the Company's standards for personal appearance and conduct.QualificationsYou will have:The ability to use scan data to identify in-store execution opportunities such as distribution, shelf space and display execution. Understand, interpret and use category data in all aspects of customer interaction.A natural selling conversation with the customer that results in them taking action.Time management skills and planning effectivity when things can move and change frequently.Basic Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI etc)The ability to work as part of a team to achieve individual and team goals. Use retail maths within a selling situation or conversation with retailer.
