As a Traffic Management Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic around construction and maintenance sites. You will set up, and dismantle temporary traffic management systems according to regulatory requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Traffic Control:
Direct traffic using hand signals, signs, and electronic devices.
Set up and dismantle temporary traffic management (TTM) systems, including cones, barriers, and signage.
Monitor traffic flow and make adjustments as necessary to ensure safety and efficiency.
Communication:
Coordinate with site supervisors, construction workers, and other TTM workers to ensure seamless operations.
Communicate effectively with road users and the public to provide clear directions and information.
Skills: Strong understanding of traffic management regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
Working Conditions
Hours: Variable shifts
Environment: Outdoor work in all weather conditions; may require standing for long periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
