We are looking for telephone operators for our busy (24/7) call centre at Nelson Hospital.
This is a diverse role where no two days are the same. The positions would appeal to those who enjoy a challenge and look for job satisfaction.
Answering the phone, after-hours reception duties, interacting with the public and dealing with emergency situations.
We have day, evening and night shifts available. Ideally, you will have the flexibility to work additional hours from time to time to assist with covering staff leave and illness.

To succeed in this role, you will have a bright, friendly and outgoing personality with great interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus. You will be highly organised and efficient with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
We expect intermediate computer skills, ideally with PC-based switchboard experience. However, we will consider applications from those without switchboard experience, where an aptitude for this type of work can be demonstrated, as full training will be given.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
