Technology Technician - 35 hours permanent term time only 2025Rangitoto College is looking for an experienced and capable Technician to support in our well-resourced Hard Technology department, which has multiple classrooms where students work with metal, wood, and computers that use 3D printers.

This position is a satisfying mix of administration and practical support involving the purchase of stock and equipment, stockroom maintenance, setup of lesson materials, and checking all tools, equipment, machines, and materials for availability and fitness for use. The successful person will undertake small tool maintenance (e.g., chisels) and/or send tools out for repair. Knowledge of 3D printing, while not essential, will be advantageous. Initiative, team spirit, high work ethic, and the ability to adjust to the ebb and flow of school life are paramount.
The position is permanent, 35 hours per week (term time only), commencing on 28 January 2025. The role affords work-life balance with hours aligning with secondary school hours and no school holiday work.
