A desirable new opportunity has come up to lead the service desk teamwho play a pivotal role in supporting our business IT needs. Reporting to theTechnology Delivery Manager, we are looking for an experienced and proactive TeamLead who can solve business problems through innovative technology solutionsand teamwork.
The successful candidate will be an experienced people manager whowill take a "hands on" role running the service desk and can lead and develop asmall and cohesive team that puts the customer at the forefront of our service.Provision of 24 x 7 end to end IT services underpin business operations and theIT service desk ensures business continuity through effective service andchange management disciplines.
To be successful in this role we are looking for the followingexperience, knowledge, skills and abilities:
People management experience to lead, develop and mentor the servicedesk teamThe ability to work alongside business stakeholders in theprovision of proactive technical support servicesManagement of the workflow of the service desk team includingprioritisation in line with business needsDeveloping and encouraging adopting effective & methodicaltroubleshooting practicesReporting and monitoring service desk teams agreed quality &performance criteriaPurchasing IT equipment and managing contracts for IT equipmentwith external vendorsContribute to and maintaining device lifecycle, inventory, andasset management processesManage procurement cycle with internal customersTriage, manage and resolve service requests including usermanagement, proactive monitoring and support, telephony support, systemsmaintenance as planned or requiredAbility to manage costs and adhere to budgetsA self-starter with strong skills in relationship development andstakeholder engagementRelevant tertiary qualification and proven vocational track recordExperience in digital supply chains an advantage but not essentialAlong with the opportunity to work within a complex and rapidlychanging industry, you will be rewarded with an attractive salary anddevelopment opportunities in an organisation looking at innovative ways ofdoing things.
