We are looking for a Technology Support Engineer who will be responsible for supporting FPA's retail experience initiatives by providing technical support for hardware, operating system, and key applications in global locations from Auckland.
The role includes a continuous improvement aspect – the person in the role must be constantly looking for ways to improve the reliability and resilience of the solutions while working within agreed cost boundaries.
This role at FPA will include aspects of design and system configurations, documenting, and managing the installation of modern technology solutions.
It also involves participating in strategic and operational projects.
With a view of putting IT's Customers interests across at all tasks performed.
Supporting our retail experience initiatives will be the focus of the role, however if capacity allows it is expected that this role will participate in the general IT support functions provided by the Technology Support Team.
What you will be doing: Provides quality day-to-day outstanding service support for all applications, from investigation through to solution provision.Works either individually or in groups on the design, installation, and/or maintenance of existing or new systems.Personal responsibility to increase personal knowledge specializing in required areas.Provides consultative systems guidance to users in applying systems and solutions to business problems.Carries out needed analyses either pro-actively or in response to user requests.Ensures regular reviews and maintenance of existing systems.Managing IT Vendor Relationships in relation to our retail experience.Owning the IT design with respect to hardware, operating systems, and application setup on in-scope solutions.Develops user-level and technical requirements specifications for new systems or changes existing systems.Ensures documentation development and execution for procedures to use and/or support systems.Work with IT Management to ensure systems are in line with the overall IT Policies and standards.Utilizes a variety of different forums to effectively communicate to the target audience (e.g.
written communications, formal meetings).Understands Health and Safety matters that relate to the role and manages daily activities to fully comply with all HSE legislation, regulations, and policies.About you The ideal candidate will be experienced in:
