About the role As Technology Operations Manager, you'll be the driving force behind ensuring our infrastructure, platforms and products are high-performing, resilient, and well-maintained. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing and monitoring core infrastructure and product platforms to ensure they consistently deliver an exceptional experience for our internal and external customers. You'll handle the maintenance and upgrades of our product platforms and infrastructure, ensuring their stability, performance, security, and supportability. Additionally, you'll provide support to our internal teams, such as support and sales, and assist Now's Tier 1 business customers. You'll also enhance our on-call, incident management, and change processes. As a key contributor to the team that delivers the technical product and platform capability that sets Now apart as a business telco, you'll collaborate with our ISP network, product, onboarding, customer, and growth teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure our technology operations run smoothly. Your efforts will align with your peers to achieve Now's commercial and customer goals, driving the success of our overall function. A bit about you We would love to hear from you if your background and experience aligns with the majority of the following: 10+ years in the Telco or IT industry, focusing on high-performing infrastructures Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Expertise in IP Networking, VMware, Storage, Systems Applications, and Linux Telco Core networking and voice skills with a strong willingness to learn Experience with firewalls and security (Mikrotik, NGFW including Palo Alto) Proven ability to develop and maintain productive internal and external relationships, partnerships, and networks Critical thinker adept at understanding and solving complex technical problems Methodical approach to designing and delivering highly technical projects or initiatives Results-oriented, takes responsibility, and sees tasks through to completion Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to thrive in a busy, high-pressure environment Willing to step outside the scope of the role to do what's right for our customers Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or Engineering To make a true impact in the fast-paced world of Now, you will need to have a strong service orientation – that means taking responsibility and putting things right.
