Oceania Dairy is seeking a versatile, innovative, and problem-solving focused thinker to join our team as a Technologist. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring that product manufacturing processes are optimised to meet and exceed Quality, Yield, and Efficiency targets. Achieving these objectives will involve effective collaboration with various teams, applying industry best practices, and working closely with site teams to ensure alignment with production goals. We are looking for someone who is articulate, attentive, and practically minded, with a keen ability to troubleshoot and innovate in real-world settings. As part of a continuous improvement-focused team, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and contributing to the ongoing success of the company. Your ability to communicate effectively, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving will be key to your success in this dynamic and rewarding position.
In the role of Process Technologist, you will be responsible for (not limited to):
Process optimisation & problem-solving support.
Evaluation of process data for on-going improvement identification.
Foss Calibration and Control Change effectiveness.
Commissioning, trial support and small project management.
Ensuring continuous improvement to the value and usefulness of technical data and information by continuously evolving technical team processes & systems.
The successful applicant will have:
Tertiary bachelor's degree (NZQA Level 7) in Process &/or Chemical Engineering.
1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferably dairy.
A practical mechanical ability for minor repairs to analytical instrumentation.
Strong stakeholder management skills specifically in persuasion and collaboration.
Target-oriented, result driven, attention to detail focused.
Advanced computer literacy.
