Technician Or Scientist - Microbiology

PART TIME, FIXED TERM – PARENTAL LEAVE COVER
We have a part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed-term position for a Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist, available in the Microbiology department, Palmerston North Hospital, to cover parental leave for approximately 7 months.
Participation in the department roster, working 8-hour shifts, to cover the following hours is required:
Three 8-hour days, 2 of which are Saturday and Sunday between 0800-1830.
The third 8-hour day is not fixed and may include Late Shift 1400 – 2230.
Call-back duties will also be required, as well as casual work at mutual agreement.
The successful applicant will require medical microbiology experience and Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand registration with full Annual Practicing Certificate. Please refer to Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand for further information.
The ability to effectively communicate and fit in with the team environment are essential requirements for this position.
