Your work will ensure that our internal and external stakeholders have access to high-quality materials, such as manuals, procedures, reports, and guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with engineers, asset managers, and subject matter experts to gather technical informationDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance guides, standard operating procedures, technical reports, and asset management guidelinesTranslate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly languageEnsure that all documents adhere to internal standards and industry best practicesReview and edit existing documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, and consistencySupport the development of asset management plans and engineering projects through comprehensive documentationWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure documents align with project goals and requirementsAssist in managing document control systems, ensuring all materials are up to date and easily accessibleContribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance documentation processesWhat you'll need:Proven experience in technical writing, particularly within an engineering or asset management environmentA degree or diploma in Engineering, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related fieldStrong understanding of engineering concepts, asset management principles, and industry standardsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in document authoring tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or other content management systems)Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter expertsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workExperience working in heavy transport, construction or plant equipment would be a desirableWhat you'll get:A dynamic and collaborative work environmentThe opportunity to work on high-impact engineering and asset management projectsCompetitive RemunerationProfessional development and growth opportunities5 weeks annual leaveAccess to discounted travel, health insurance & holiday houses across NZ as part of our Staff Welfare TrustApplications Close: 15 November 2024 unless filled soonerDue to Immigration Regulations, we are currently only accepting applications from candidates residing within New Zealand as New Zealand Residents or as Citizens for this role!
