This is your opportunity to contribute to community well-being while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced local government environment.About the role:As the Animal & Compliance Technical Support Officer, you'll play a key role in helping Kaipara District Council deliver an outstanding experience for our community.
You will ensure customers receive clear, accurate information, empowering them to understand and proactively comply with relevant legislation.
Behind the scenes, you'll provide essential support to the team, keeping operations running smoothly across Animal Management, Noise Control, and Parking services.In this role, you will:Maintain and enhance monitoring and compliance systems to ensure efficient operations and accurate reporting.Interpret and provide clear, technical information regarding legislation and policies, ensuring they are customer-friendly and easy to understand.Support financial processes, including tracking budgets, managing income and expenditure, and ensuring financial accuracy.Provide technical support across Animal Management, Noise Control, and Parking by processing registrations, maintaining databases, and assisting with relevant documentation.Collaborate with the team, supporting research, administrative tasks, and the updating of Promapp procedures to meet deadlines and improve systems.About you:We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent service and thrives in a collaborative environment.
With at least two years of experience in administration, ideally within Local Government or a similar field, you will bring a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to your work.Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as the Local Government Act, Dog Control Act, and General Bylaws, will be beneficial, but what truly sets you apart is your ability to communicate clearly and provide accurate information to customers.What's on offer:Kaipara District Council offers a flexible, supportive, and inclusive team culture within a collaborative environment.
