About this opportunity We are now on the hunt for an experienced Technical Supervisor to join our Albany ALTO site. To assist the Site Operations Manager responsible for the operation of an assigned area in terms of staff safety, production, quality, cost, delivery, and human resources whilst respecting the business defined goals. The position will also be responsible for day-to-day management of people within production to ensure the business targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements. Ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures is an important value of the business and it must be always upheld. Strive to continually improve using Lean tools to reduce cost, improve production and quality. Develop systems and processes through collaboration to support the operational excellence continuous improvement plans.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Support the Alto Management Team to develop and monitor the achievement of strategic goals. Oversee the activities of the Thermoforming and Extrusion Technical Team, to effectively support production processes. Technical Planning & Management Labour Management and Control Prioritise enhancement of Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing Effectively lead technical staff and manage direct reports to achieve desired results. HSE Risk Management and Training Quality Assurance Audits Risk & Environment Management Leadership Health & Safety Accountabilities Your skills and experience: Work experience in Thermoforming and Extrusion, like / similar field ideally minimum 5 yrs. Understanding and experience with Safety management system ISO. Understanding of NZ legal systems, regulatory processes, and relevant legislation. Experienced in leading and developing high performing teams. Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams and other stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement (people, tech, process). Excellent oral and written communication. Collaboration and relationship building skills; ability to quickly form working relationships and gain credibility with senior management.
