ABOUT THE JOB We are excited to offer an opportunity for the role of Technical Lead at our New Zealand location.
This position provides an excellent chance to manage your territory and champion equipment reliability and performance.
As a Technical Lead, you will be a key member of the Line Trio in a Line Centric Organisation, responsible for the equipment maintenance plan and breakdown analysis execution.
This is a permanent full-time position working Monday–Friday between 8.00am and 4:30pm.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Manage and prioritize SAP work orders and defect handling. Plan maintenance work using SAP or SIGGA scheduler. Lead daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance planning meetings. Coordinate with various teams to incorporate maintenance tasks into plans. Manage the shift roster for technicians and arrange contractor covers. Coach and upskill team members. Lead the Progressive Maintenance IWS Pillar and DMS. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Manage maintenance costs, parts usage, and labour utilization. Ensure all equipment design changes follow Change Management Procedures. Develop and update maintenance plans and technical documentation. Provide feedback on new equipment or line speed-ups. ABOUT YOU This role requires a relevant trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation, or a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
To be successful, you will have:
3-5 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated technical aptitude and leadership. Experience in the dairy or food manufacturing industry is an advantage. Proven ability to communicate well at all levels. Business awareness. Time management and prioritizing skills. Coaching and training skills. Fundamental skills in influencing and persuasion. Strong interpersonal skills for developing trusting relationships. Experience troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP. Ability to identify problems, draw conclusions, and make recommended solutions. Flexibility to adjust schedule to support 24/7 manufacturing operations, including overtime, graveyard shifts, weekends, and on-call support.
