It is a manufacturer of high-quality leather products for an international export market.About the Role:You will be part of the overall technical team as the technical lead for the Dye House and/or Tanyard.
Your key role will be ensuring that all work delivered by the Tanyard Process Operators and Dye House Operators is completed on time and to the correct quality standards.Your Skills and Experience:Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Leather TechnologyMinimum 3 years' technical experience working within the Tanyard or Dye HouseExcellent all-round technical knowledge with key skills in finishing and process requirementsAbility to formulate recipesGood communicator at all levels, both written and verbalKnowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirementsYour Responsibilities:Supporting and providing leather and technical knowledge to the Dye House and Tanyard Process OperatorsCompleting routine inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring that all work is done safely and efficiently within agreed time scales to the correct quality standardsAnticipating, identifying, and resolving technical issues that pose a risk to safety, quality, performance, or profitSeeking opportunities through clearly outlined projects to improve production capabilities, which drive down the cost of production (e.g., chemical use, process reduction)Requirements:$80,000 - $100,000 per annumA positive can-do attitude, dedication to site safety, environmental consciousness, and quality procedures
