Developers/Programmers (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeThe Tasman Tanning Co Ltd is a successful, long-standing Tannery and finished leather business based in Wanganui. We are a manufacturer of high-quality leather products to an international export market. Our facilities are fully accredited with the Leather Working Group and are regularly audited.About the roleBeing part of the overall technical team, as the technical lead for the Dye House and/or Tanyard, you will play a key role in ensuring that all work delivered by the Tanyard Process Operators and Dye House Operators is delivered in agreed time scales to the correct quality standards.If you have the following skills and experience in your toolbox then we would love to hear from you:Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Leather TechnologyMinimum 3 years' technical experience working within the Tanyard or Dye HouseExcellent all-round technical knowledge, however key skill requirement in finishing and process requirementsAbility to formulate recipesGood communicator at all levels, both written and verbalKnowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirementsYou will take a lead role in:Supporting and providing leather and technical knowledge to the Dye House and Tanyard Process Operators.Completing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring that all work is done safely and efficiently in agreed time scales to the correct quality standards.Anticipating, identifying, and resolving technical issues that pose a risk to safety, quality, performance, or profit.Seeking opportunities through clearly outlined projects to improve production capabilities which drive down cost of production i.e. chemical use, process reduction etc.Every day will present new challenges, but a positive, can-do attitude coupled with your dedication to site safety, environmental consciousness, and quality procedures will make you the ideal addition to the team.If this sounds like you or if you are interested in finding out more, please send your CV with a cover letter to ****** #J-18808-Ljbffr
