About the role
Being part of the overall technical team, as the technical lead for the Dye House and/or Tanyard, you will play a key role in ensuring that all work delivered by the Tanyard Process Operators and Dye House Operators is delivered in agreed time scales to the correct quality standards.
If you have the following skills and experience in your toolbox then we would love to hear from you:
Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Leather Technology
Minimum 3 years' technical experience working within the Tanyard or Dye House
Excellent all-round technical knowledge, however key skill requirement in finishing and process requirements
Ability to formulate recipes
Good communicator at all levels, both written and verbal
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements
You will take a lead role in:
Supporting and providing leather and technical knowledge to the Dye House and Tanyard Process Operators.
Completing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring that all work is done safely and efficiently in agreed time scales to the correct quality standards.
Anticipating, identifying, and resolving technical issues that pose a risk to safety, quality, performance, or profit.
Seeking opportunities through clearly outlined projects to improve production capabilities which drive down cost of production i.e. chemical use, process reduction etc.
