We are looking for an experienced fruit grading systems technician to join our Assets & Maintenance Team based in Te Puke and covering all our sites from Katikati to Opotiki.This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise and advice to grow uptime and throughput - ultimately to achieve optimum packouts for our growers.We want our growers to achieve excellent packout results through delivery of outstanding service.
You will be a practical "hands on" person who is able to effectively perform inspections and repairs of our machinery during fruit production periods, coach operators to achieve the best results from their equipment and be actively involved in our major maintenance program.Continuous improvement is a strong focus at EastPack – you'll be engaging with the CI philosophy, providing forward-thinking solutions to improve machine performance, and assisting operators to care for their machinery as best they can.Key elements of the role include:Drive development and implementation of the preventative maintenance plan across the business.Engage with operators and assist to develop a strong Operator Care framework.
Vision grading and NIR system training and technical support experience is an advantage.Perform repairs as required to maintain uptime.View machinery with an eye for improvement.
Throughput and quality go hand in hand – how do we positively impact throughput without compromising quality?You will need:Demonstrated experience providing technical support on Maf Roda, Tomra or Compac fruit grading equipment.
A trade qualification is preferred.A positive attitude towards doing things better.Strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Good time management and planning skills.Strong influencing skills to be able to drive a strong culture of machinery operator care.The ability to establish and maintain strong internal and external business relationships.We want to hear from you if you think you can make a difference here at EastPack.
