Technical Director - RMA / Environmental PlanningThis is a newly created position and a rare opportunity for someone with significant experience and understanding of the RMA to take up a role in many of our offices across the nation. This will be a regional planning leadership role, leading and growing the environmental planning service offered by our firm, working amongst a national planning team.

About the RoleExpand PDP's offerings in RMA Planning services through strong relationship management and business development.Undertake and support our professional work primarily in the area of RMA Planning, plan policy and strategy, consenting, consultation and management.Provide leadership in developing and implementing the RMA Planning team's approach to the market and further build and lead a high calibre team of planners.Work collaboratively with the wider planning team in all PDP offices around NZ.A key leadership position within the company where you will have influence over the direction of the business and have the potential for shareholding.What You'll BringRelevant NZPI recognised Planning qualification (ideally to Master's level) from a recognised leading university.Comprehensive understanding of the NZ planning system and relevant legislation.Minimum 15 years of experience and proven track record in a regional council, local authority or private sector planning.Strong business development skills including preparation of competitive proposals.Proven leadership skills; a collegiate, team-player attitude.Ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects, integrating with scientists, engineers, ecologists, and others.What We OfferAt PDP, we believe a great company is built by great people.
