We are looking for a Technical Director in Geotechnics who will be taking a lead role in developing PDP's geotechnical presence in Wellington and the Lower North Island. You will work across a wide variety of projects and further develop your skills and leadership expertise with the support of the Geotechnics team from around the country.
About the RoleDevelop engineering geology/geotechnical engineering business opportunities within PDP's existing and new clientsManage geotechnical projects (foundations, slope stability, dams, service corridors, mining and quarrying)Plan, write and review technical reports and provide input into engineering designContract management including cost estimation; tender and contract preparation; and construction managementWork across other workgroups at PDP, in particular Planning, Contaminated land, Water Infrastructure and Water ResourcesWork with a range of clients from local authorities to private companiesLiaise with regulators and other relevant bodies.What You'll BringDegree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology (or equivalent)Minimum 10 years' experience as a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist (experience with a professional consultancy is preferred)Ideally Charted Professional Engineer/Engineering Geologist status with Engineering New ZealandStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven leadership skillsCreative thinking to find innovative solutions for our clients.What We OfferAt PDP, we believe a great company is built by great people.
