Job Description
The Opportunity
Our ANZ Aviation team is looking to recruit a Technical Director to join our New Zealand business. The position of Technical Director is an Auckland based role, within the Auckland Transportation team. In this role you will design and deliver civil aviation and roading projects for our international and regional commercial airports, as well as our Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces' portfolio of airfields.
In the role of Technical Director, it is expected that you will:
Drive technical excellence across our portfolio of projects
Provide leadership and direction
Manage and lead our NZ Aviation Team
Have regular contact and retain good relationships with AECOM's clients and construction partners
Be involved in business development and winning work across ANZ
Qualifications
About You
Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments and managing projects that are larger in scope and more complex.
Detailed knowledge of, and experienced in, applying the following in designs:
ICAO Annex 14 and related ICAO planning and design guidelines.
NZ CAA Advisory Circular Part 139 (or other equivalent ICAO member states 139 design guidance).
Relevant US FAA ACs.
Experienced with MOWP implementation and airside operational coordination.
Experienced with NZ CAA AC 139-5.
Experienced in airfield planning and design, including horizontal and vertical aircraft pavement, geometry and drainage.
Preferred Qualifications
Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
15+ years of relevant experience
Chartered or professional member of relevant professional body, or working towards
