Technical Director - Auckland, New Zealand - Tech Artists
We are looking for a Technical Director in Auckland. This person will be responsible for the entire studio programming department. They will work closely with the studio manager, producers, and worldwide technical director to ensure projects are delivered on time while targeting the best experience and quality.
The Technical Director will be part of an already established team. Their main responsibilities will be:

Responsible for all technology and architecture choices.
Supervise and participate in all projects from staffing, technology, and risks evaluation.
Recommend solutions and approve plans and roadmaps.
Ensure code quality and code reviewing.
Drive staff capabilities and career path.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Engineering or Science, or equivalent professional experience. They will have expertise in C/C++, OOP Design, and programming practices. They will also have a working knowledge of game development and several domains such as Rendering, Animation, and Multiplayer.
The candidate should be able to understand any task performed by a developer and have problem-solving skills. Nice to have experience in middlewares, scripting languages, graphics tools, and social gaming. The candidate should also be autonomous, dynamic, and able to lead a project to completion within given time constraints.
