Technical Account Manager F B Lower South Island (Remote) Technical Account Manager F B Lower South Island | IXOM | NewZealandJob description:Your roleWe currently have an opportunity to join our industry leading Sales teamas a Technical Account Manager, servicing our established portfolio ofmanufacturing customers within the Food & Beverage Processingindustries. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role, where no two days are thesame.Reporting to the Food and Beverage Market Manager, this technical salesrole will allow you to nurture existing relationships and hunt out newbusiness development opportunities, while consistently providing technicalknow-how to your customers.This is a home-office based regional role that will require travelacross the lower South Island region to visit and attend customer sites. Weare flexible with locations across Southland/Otago regions.Your responsibilitiesProvide responsive account management and technical know-how along withoutstanding customer intimacyAssist customers to ensure storage facilities comply with currentlegislation and IXOM standardsIdentify and lead new business growth opportunities to improve IXOM'spresence and capability within your industry segmentWork closely with Product Managers to assist you in identifying,contacting and develop new customers, selling new products and increasingmarket sharePrepare and execute customer action plans to improve profitability andsatisfactionCapture market intelligence and competitor informationPrepare customer pricing letters and support tender process. Conductprofessional presentations in support of these communicationsDeliver productivity improvements where appropriate and pro-activelyseek continuous process improvements on customer sitesYour skills & experienceTertiary qualification in a technical discipline as Food, engineering,science, microbiology or chemistry OR/Proven experience within the food processing/manufacturing space, ordairy industry AND/Knowledge of open plant cleaning and sanitation.Experience in managing major accounts or developing new business isrequiredExisting relationships with key industry personnelExcellent communication skills with the ability to build longstandingrelationships, negotiate and influenceCommercial acumen to truly understand the business development cycle,challenge current processes and offer insights to the product/technicalmanagement groupAny experience in industrial water, Clean-in-place (CIP) or chemicalsales or account management would be highly advantageousProblem solving, curious mind set approachThis role will better suit a self-motivating individual who isready to drive their own success as it is a remote workingposition.About IXOMWhile IXOM might not be a household name, we have a world-class heritagespanning over 100 years and we play a vital part in the lives of tens ofmillions of people every day.
