Primarily you will be responsible for leading the team responsible for the timely, accurate and legally safe publication of the decisions of all courts and many tribunals to Ministry websites, making them available to the public. This includes:Liaising with the judiciary and their staff regarding the publication of decisions and the ongoing support and development of the applications that enable thisDeveloping and organising the team to ensure an effective and efficient delivery of the service with a focus on continuous improvementBuilding and maintaining key relationships with stakeholders across the Courts, the wider Ministry and externallyActive participation in the Judicial Libraries/He puna matauranga ture leadership team to ensure the strategic directions of the Ministry and Judiciary are met.To be successful in this role you will have:Ability to read, understand and apply legislation and other complex informationExperience leading a teamKnowledge of the New Zealand criminal justice sector and the courtsKnowledge of New Zealand's constitutional arrangements and the independence of the judiciaryKnowledge of sentencing principles and their applicationExcellent IT skills, specifically database management and development skillsSound judgement and excellent communication skills, coupled with diplomacyAt Te Tahu o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we're committed to strengthening people's trust in the law of Aotearoa, New Zealand.Your role in the Judicial Libraries team sits within the National Service Delivery business unit and Operations and Service Delivery (OSD) group.
