Team Manager Pest Management Aquatic | Wellington City Job Title: Team Manager, Pest Management Aquatic Role type : Full Time Permanent Location : Wellington Salary range C : $117,035 to $156,888 depending on skills and experience As the Team Manager you are accountable for initiatives to reduce the spread and impact of established pests of national significance and supporting the delivery of the Director-General's pest management leadership obligations.
You will be leading the delivery of pest management and pathway management programmes and long-term responses to eradicate established pests, with a focus on the establishment of a long-term management programme for the freshwater gold clam Corbicula fluminea.
Some of your key priorities will be to: Manage the team's work plan, delivering to objectives within specified time and budget Manage the professional development of the team, finding opportunities for capability building Plan, lead, and deliver specific projects using established programme and project management methodologies Identify and assess programme risks and determine appropriate mitigations and management interventions Work closely with regional councils, iwi, and other stakeholders to achieve programme objectives Support the Manager Pest Management Programmes by providing information, analysis, and advice Respond to public inquiries and draft Ministerial advice and correspondence You will need a credit check to proceed in this role.
