About the role: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for managing our newest team comprising of skilled horticulturalists, mower operators, response/playground operators, facilities operators, and sports turf experts. With teams based in Oamaru, Palmerston and Kurow, you'll roll up your sleeves working alongside your team, ensuring their success while surpassing our clients' expectations. Day-to-day activities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Involvement in staff recruitment, onboarding, and trainingPeople management such as annual leave and timesheet approval, staff rosters etc Asset maintenance of plant and machinery COFs WoFs repairs and maintenanceManaging interment (burial) tasks Audits and compliance - contract, health and safety, environmentalMeeting KPIs both internal and externalAbove all be prepared to help out your team on the ground!Who we are looking for: Our ideal candidate has prior experience in a similar industry or has proven experience in leading a team to achieve their best work.
